A résumé tells employers what you claim. Your Passport helps you show the evidence.
Talented accountants are often reduced to a job title, a keyword list and a number of years. This is being built to give you a richer and more credible way to show what you can actually do.
Show practical work, not responsibilities
Launching soonThe difference between “handled month-end close” and showing how you handled one.
Verify the things that matter
Identity, qualification and written English, each checked by a person and dated, so you stop re-arguing them with every employer.
Get specific vouches
Launching soonFrom the people who actually saw the work, about the particular thing they saw you do.
Carry it between opportunities
Your record belongs to you. It does not reset when a conversation with one firm ends.
One profile that becomes stronger over time.
You build it once and keep improving it. Each part you add makes the profile more useful to an employer deciding whether to talk to you, and none of it expires the moment a conversation ends.
Verified foundations
Confirm who you are and what you qualified in, once, and carry it with you.
- Identity
- Qualification
- English writing assessment
- Work history you confirm and date
Work Proof
In early accessShow how you work through a problem instead of describing it on a résumé.
- A written account of a problem you solved
- A structured exam on US tax and accounting
- Reconciliation and month-end-close exercises
- Reporting and spreadsheet exercises
What runs today is the written assessment and a ten-question exam on US tax and accounting, both marked by a person. Anonymised work samples and timed exercises are still being built, and no assessment result is shown on a profile yet.
Professional vouches
Launching soonAsk the people who saw your work to verify a particular thing you can do.
- Worked together on month-end close
- Can verify QuickBooks proficiency
- Managed this accountant for two years
- Can verify client-communication ability
None of this is built. No vouch has been requested, given or displayed, and no profile carries one.
Practical capability
Say what you actually work in and when you are actually available.
- Software, recorded by depth rather than by logo
- Industry and client-type experience
- US accounting exposure
- Availability and hours of overlap
Hiring reputation
Launching soonWork that went well becomes something you can show the next employer.
- Verified engagements
- Employer feedback
- Repeat-hire signals
- Placement history
Nothing here exists yet. No engagement has been recorded and no employer feedback has been collected, because no one has been hired through the network.
What a US firm sees when it opens your profile
Not a resume in an inbox. A structured, verified record, and the firm reads it without anyone standing in between.

In their own words
“A new client came to us fourteen months behind on their books: two QuickBooks files, a personal card mixed into business spending, and an opening balance that was off by $6,900. I rebuilt the chart of accounts, brought in the bank and card feeds month by month, and tagged every owner expense for their CPA to review. It took about six weeks working a few hours a day. When we finished, their CPA filed the overdue return from clean books, and the client moved to a normal monthly close with me.”
A structured, verified record, not a resume in an inbox.

Build once. Keep improving it.
Four steps, and the first one takes three minutes.
Create your profile
Your experience, software, qualifications, the work you want and what you expect to be paid. Structured questions, no essay, no resume upload.
Add credible evidence
In early accessComplete the written assessment and the US accounting exam, and verify your identity and qualification. Work samples and practical challenges are being built and are not open yet.
Invite professional vouches
Launching soonAsk former colleagues, managers or clients to verify one specific capability they saw. This is not built yet, and no profile carries a vouch today.
Get discovered
A firm that wants to talk to you asks us first, and nothing about you reaches them until you say yes. You interview directly, agree your own salary, and they pay you.
You control which parts of your profile are public and which stay hidden. Never upload client-identifiable or confidential material: work evidence is designed around anonymised and synthetic data, and anything containing a real client’s information will be rejected.

Illustrative. Verified profiles go first.
You should not need to become an influencer to build professional credibility.
Search relevance here comes from skills, experience, availability, evidence and reputation. Not from posting frequency, not from follower counts, and not from paying us.
Evidence over engagement
What you can demonstrate, not how often you post about it.
Specific vouches over empty endorsements
A named colleague verifying one capability beats a hundred one-click endorsements from people who never worked with you.
Relevance over paid ranking
No accountant can buy a higher position in search results. There is no product that does this, and there is not going to be one.
Direct hiring can create better economics for both sides.
When a firm hires through a traditional offshore agency, the accountant often receives only part of what the client pays. Hiring directly can mean the accountant earns more while the firm still spends less overall.
Through an offshore firm or agency
US firm pays $2,000/mo
you receive · about ₹55,000/mo
middleman keeps $1,400 · office · sales team · margin
Hired directly
US firm pays $1,200/mo
you receive · about ₹1.1 lakh/mo
US firm saves $800/mo
More reaches you. The firm still pays less than an agency seat.

No agency margin is deducted by AccountingTalent. You and the employer agree compensation directly, and all of it is yours.
Who we are building the network for
If you work in accounting for US or international clients, or you are ready to, this is being built for you.
Bookkeepers and staff accountants
Monthly close, AP and AR, reconciliations. One or more years of experience and strong written English.
Strongest signal today
US accounting and bookkeeping professionals
QuickBooks, Xero, Drake, Lacerte, CCH, UltraTax. If you already work US client files, you are the closest fit the network has.
Tax preparers
Anyone who has prepared US returns: 1040s, 1120‑S, 1065s.
Payroll, AP and AR specialists
Deep in one function rather than broad across several. That is a strength here, not a gap.
Management and financial reporting accountants
Budgeting, variance analysis, management packs and statutory reporting.
Audit, assurance and systems specialists
Including accountants who implement and run the software rather than only working in it.
CAs, CA Inter, CMAs, ACCAs and M.Coms
Including those with no US experience yet. Fundamentals are the hard part and US tax software is learnable.
Experienced graduates with evidence
If you can show the work, a short career is not a barrier. Showing it is the part that matters.
What stands out most to the firms we talk to
- QuickBooks or Xero experience
- US GAAP or direct US client exposure
- Strong written communication
- A consistent work history
- Client-facing experience
- Reliable overlap with US working hours
What US firms typically pay direct hires
- $500 to $800
- Bookkeepers
- $800 to $1,500
- Experienced accountants and tax preparers
- $1,500 to $2,500+
- Senior and reviewer roles
Per month, full-time, long-term positions. Not gig work. Figures are typical of what we see and are not guaranteed: what you earn depends on your experience, the role, the hours, the firm, and what you agree between you.

Verification should build trust, not act as a paywall for work.
During founding access, straightforward identity and qualification verification is free wherever we can operationally do it. Charging an accountant to prove who they are, before they have earned anything, is the wrong way round.
- Identity
- Confirm your identity once. It is checked by a person, not by an automated service.
- English writing
- Write a few hundred words about a real problem you solved. Your own words, and they stay on your profile.
- Qualification
- Share your qualification once and it stops being a claim you have to re-argue with every employer.

What we deliberately do not check
- Reference checks
- We do not contact previous employers. Vouches from named colleagues are being built to do this job better, and are not live yet.
- Criminal-record and credit checks
- We do not run background screening. A firm that needs it should run it as part of its own hiring process.
- Right-to-work status
- Accountants on this network are based in India and work with your firm directly. Confirming what that means for your obligations is a question for your own advisors.
There is no guaranteed job waiting for you today.
We'll be straight with you, because you've seen enough websites that aren't.
AccountingTalent.in is building the employer side of the network. Joining now lets you create an early profile, help shape what gets built, and be visible as US firms begin taking part. It does not guarantee an interview, an employer message, or an offer.
There is no job waiting for you today.
What you can expect:
- A free, permanent profile
- We will never charge accountants, at any stage. Firms pay us for hiring access. Not one rupee of what you agree with an employer comes to us, in any month, for as long as you work there.
- Your feedback actually changing things
- You are early enough that telling us a question is useless is enough to get it removed.
- A place in the Work Proof pilots
- When the practical challenges open, early profiles go first.
- A monthly update, either way
- One email a month on where things stand, including the months when there is no news.
- No exclusivity and no lock-in
- Your profile, your negotiation, your job. Delete it whenever you want.
What you should not expect:
- Guaranteed employment. We do not control whether a firm is hiring for what you do.
- Any way to pay for a better position in search results. It does not exist and will not be built.
- Job listings invented to make the network look busier than it is.
- AccountingTalent taking a share of your salary. Not now, not later.
Questions accountants ask us
Is AccountingTalent free for accountants?
Yes, permanently. Creating a profile is free, applying is free, being verified is free, and receiving a message from an employer is free. There is no stage at which we ask an accountant for money.
US firms pay us for hiring access. That is the entire business. If anyone ever asks you for money to join, to be verified, or to be introduced to a firm, it is not us.
Does AccountingTalent take part of my salary?
No. Not a percentage, not a finder's fee, not a monthly cut. You and the employer agree compensation directly and every rupee of it is yours, for as long as you work there.
This is the difference between this and an offshore staffing arrangement, where a monthly seat rate is charged for as long as you work for the client and only part of it reaches you.
Does joining guarantee a job?
No, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. There is no job waiting for you today. We are building the employer side of the network, and joining now means you have a profile ready and are visible as US firms begin taking part.
What it does get you: your feedback shaping what gets built, a place in the Work Proof pilots when they open, and one honest email a month about where things stand, including the months when there is no news.
Can my current employer see my profile?
This is the case the privacy model was designed for. Your profile is not published publicly and it is not indexed by search engines: that setting is off by default and you turn it on, not us.
Only verified firms can see profiles at all, and what they see does not include your full name, your photograph or your contact details. Your employment history appears without identifying your current employer. Nobody browsing can work out who you are, and nothing reaches a firm until you agree to it.
What information will be public?
By default: your role and years of experience, your region rather than your exact address, your software and the depth you claim in each, your industry and US exposure, your availability and hours of overlap, your compensation expectation, and which checks you have completed with the date of each.
Not public by default: your photograph (off unless you turn it on), your full name, your email, your phone number and your LinkedIn. Search-engine indexing is also off by default.
This is enforced on the server, in lib/authz, not by hiding fields in a page. A firm that is not entitled to a field does not receive it at all.
What is Work Proof?
Evidence of how you approach accounting work, rather than a description of jobs you have held. The intended set is anonymised work samples, synthetic bookkeeping exercises, reconciliation and month-end-close scenarios, and reporting or spreadsheet tasks.
What exists today is narrower: a written account of a real problem you solved, and a ten-question exam on US tax and accounting. Both are marked by a person. The exercises and work samples are still being built, and assessment results are not yet displayed on profiles.
Can I upload client work?
No. Never upload anything that identifies a client or contains their information: not a real trial balance, not a real return, not a screenshot with a client name in the corner. It would breach your obligations to them and it is not what this is for.
Work Proof is built around synthetic and anonymised data for exactly this reason. Where you want to describe real work, describe the problem and what you did about it without the identifying detail. Anything containing client-identifiable information will be rejected.
How do professional vouches work?
They are not built yet, and no profile carries one today. This is the plan rather than a description of something live.
The intent is that you ask a former colleague, manager or client to verify one specific capability they actually saw: that they worked with you on month-end close, that they can confirm your QuickBooks work, that they managed you in a client-facing role. A named person confirming one particular thing, rather than a one-click endorsement from someone who never worked with you.
Do I need US accounting experience?
No. It is the single strongest signal to the firms we talk to, and it is not a requirement. Fundamentals are the hard part and US tax software is learnable.
If you have not worked US files, be accurate about it rather than stretching the description. The checks and the evidence are the whole product, and a claim that does not survive an interview costs you more here than an honest gap would.
Do I need to be a Chartered Accountant?
No. The application does not require any specific qualification, and no part of the product ranks you on one. CAs, CA Inter and finalists, CMAs, ACCAs, M.Coms, and accountants qualified by experience are all in scope.
What matters is what you can show: the software you actually work in, the work you have actually done, and your written English.
How are accountants ranked in search?
On relevance to what the firm is looking for: skills, software, experience, availability and hours of overlap, the evidence on your profile, and how recently you confirmed that it is still accurate.
Not on posting frequency, not on follower counts, and not on payment. Keeping your confirmations current is the one thing genuinely within your control, which is why the profile asks you to reconfirm availability rather than letting it quietly age.
Can I hide my compensation expectations?
Yes, from your profile settings. It is shown by default, because firms filter on it and a profile without it gets passed over more often, but it is your call and you can turn it off.
Hiding it does not remove it from the application: we still use it to decide which roles are worth putting in front of you.
Will paying for Pro improve my ranking?
No. Pro is not available and is not being sold, and if it ever ships it will be presentation and insight tools: analytics, exports, a custom profile address.
Ranking is not for sale here, to anyone, at any price. A network where the top results are whoever paid the most is not worth a firm's time, which means it is not worth yours either.
How will employers contact me?
Through us first, never directly. A firm that wants to talk to you requests an introduction against your profile. We ask you, and nothing about you reaches them unless you agree.
Being exact about how that works today: the request is recorded in the system, but we come to you by email to ask rather than through a button in your dashboard, because the accept-or-decline control is still being built. Either way, the answer is yours and a firm cannot reach you without it.
Once you accept, they get your contact details and you deal with each other directly. You interview, you negotiate your own salary, and they pay you.
Can I delete or unpublish my profile?
Yes, both, at any time and without asking anyone. From your dashboard you can pause your profile, which takes it out of view for firms while keeping everything you have built, or delete it outright.
There is no exclusivity, no notice period and no lock-in. Use us alongside anything else you are doing.
Am I an employee of AccountingTalent?
No. We are not your employer and we are not a party to any agreement between you and a firm. You contract with the firm directly, on terms the two of you agree.
How you should handle tax and compliance on what you earn depends on your circumstances and is a question for your own advisor. We cannot advise you on it.
What do you do with my data?
We use it to build your profile and to show relevant firms that you exist. We do not sell it, and we do not pass it to anyone outside the platform without your agreement.
Your contact details are released only when you agree to an introduction. You can ask us to delete everything we hold about you at any time, and we will.
